STUDIO HIRE
1. **Booking Confirmation** All bookings are subject to availability and are confirmed upon receipt of full payment of the hire fee. Payments are handled securely through our website, hackneystudio.space. Please note that we reserve the right to cancel any booking that is deemed not suitable for our studio, for any reason.
2. **Amendments and Cancellations** We understand that plans can change. Therefore, we allow for amendments to the booking to be made up to 14 days in advance of the hire date with no penalty. If changes are made within 14 days of the hire date, a cancellation fee of 50% of the hire fee will be retained. The remaining 50% may be applied towards a future booking within the next 6 months.
3. **Use of Space and Equipment** The hirer is responsible for the condition of the space and all equipment therein, and must ensure that all such equipment is left in the same condition as at the start of the hire period. The studio must be vacated in the same condition it was found by the end of the booking. An additional cleaning fee may be charged if the space is not left in a satisfactory condition.
4. **Overrun Charges** All bookings must conclude within the allocated time. If your booking overruns, the additional hours will be charged at the same hourly rate as your original booking. Extensions beyond 20:00 are subject to staff availability and will incur double the standard rate.
5. **Liability** Hackney Studio Space accepts no responsibility for any equipment or other property brought into or left in the space, and all liability for such equipment or property is hereby expressly excluded. All equipment and other property is left at the owner's risk and no responsibility can be accepted for loss or damage, including any damage or faults to any equipment provided as part of the hire. Hackney Studio Space accepts no liability for any cancelled bookings.
6. **Insurance** Hirers are required to have their own insurance to cover all activities they intend to undertake at the Hackney Studio Space. Proof of such insurance must be provided upon request.
7. **Indemnity** The hirer agrees to indemnify and keep indemnified Hackney Studio Space from and against all costs, claims, demands, actions, proceedings and losses whatsoever made against or incurred by Hackney Studio Space as a result of the hirer's use and/or occupation of the space.
8. **Governing Law** These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be decided only by the courts of England and Wales.
9. **Parking** We have parking for two standard cars or one large car e.g. SUV or small van. You must park directly outside the studio, without blocking any of the the studios in the yard. If you block our neighbours you will be asked to move your car onto the street where you will need to pay for parking.
By making a booking and completing your payment, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
Hackney Studio Space reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. It is the hirer's responsibility to review these terms and conditions prior to each booking.
KIT HIRE
1. **Acceptance of Terms and Conditions** Unless otherwise agreed by Hackney Studio Space, any order for Additional and Non-Standard Kit (equipment) shall be construed as an express acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, which shall prevail to the exclusion of all others.
2. **Rates and Payments** The customer shall pay charges for the hire in advance of their hire period. Cancellation of booked equipment within 24 hours of the specified call time may incur a cancellation charge up to 50% of the hire charges.
3. **Inspection and Condition** Acceptance or use of the equipment shall be conclusive evidence that the equipment is in satisfactory condition. The customer is responsible for only using the equipment inside the studio and returning the equipment at the end of the hire period in the same condition. The customer shall compensate Hackney Studio Space for any loss or damage to the equipment, including hire charges for the period the equipment is unavailable for hire. If the Equipment is damaged due to the Customer’s actions, the Customer is liable for inspection, transport, labor, and replacement costs, and hire charges continue to be payable.
4. **Insurance** The customer shall insure the equipment for its full replacement value against all risks, including third-party risks, throughout the hire period. The customer shall not use the equipment for any purpose or by any person not permitted by the insurance policy terms and shall indemnify Hackney Studio Space against any loss not covered by the insurance.
5. **Liability and Indemnity** Hackney Studio Space shall not be liable for any claim arising in connection with the acquisition, use, operation, or possession of the equipment. The customer shall indemnify Hackney Studio Space against all claims or damages connected with the acquisition, use, operation, or possession of the Equipment. Hackney Studio Space is not liable for damage to the equipment after delivery to the customer, adverse weather, or unsuitable storage after the equipment leaves the company’s premises.
6. **Customer’s Duties** During the hire period, the customer shall:
Keep the equipment in its custody and control, not part with possession, and not allow any lien to be created over it.
Ensure the equipment is used properly and safely by qualified persons.
Take proper care of the equipment and protect it from damage.
Not take the equipment outside of the studio under any circumstances.
